I love accessories..I’ve often been accused of over accessorising..I tend to add too many pieces and I’m a repeat offender..But I Own It…
I find the bits that I like, layer them up..turn around in front of the mirror..and add some more..Not the advice that our mothers gave us growing up..but sometimes we have to bend the rules..just a little. There are a number of must have items in your closet that you simply should own to add to the day – to – day go to outfits. Scarves, bracelets, sunglasses and hats. These are the accessory must haves. And they can take the drab to fab in a NY minute.
A Bad hair day need hats. Low T shirts need scarves. A morning after needs big sunglasses. A simple outfit needs a fur or shrug. A pair of jeans and a white T needs a feature kick. A wrist needs bling. Quote. Unquote.
The Accessories : Sass & Bide Camellia worn as a bracelet. Kmart Black and Gold Stud Pumps. Kookai Rabbit Shrug. Henri Bendel Grey Cashmere Scarf. Hermes White and Rose Gold Cuff. Baby Goat Hair Latte and Grey Scarf. Donna Karen Tweed Cap.
There is never a more iconic and famous brand is the sunglass industry, as the Ray Ban Brand. Few sunglasses have occupied such a storied place in American culture and history.
From Presidents to movie stars, rock stars to artists, fashion designers to runway models, there’s not a generation alive that can’t remember owning a pair of these iconic sunglasses.
Founded in 1937 by Bausch & Lomb, the first Ray Ban sunglasses were created for the U.S. Army Air Corp. The Army was looking for a sunglass to protect aviators from the damaging rays of the sun, but also a sunglass that would look elegant on the dashing airman of the day.
Throughout the 50s and 60s, Ray Ban Wayfarers were the sunglass of choice for everyone from Bob Dylan, to Andy Warhol, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Roy Orbison, John Lennon and countless average American teenagers who just wanted to look cool on the beach.
In the eighties..I discovered the black classic Wayfarer Ray Bans..Thankyou Madonna! I wore them through my high school years and then literally packed them away as we hit the opulent nineties and forgot about them. Until recently…I found my original Ray Bans and have been sporting them with an inner semi cool pride. My daughter friends are super impressed that sometime, way back, I might have been hip…my words..probably not theirs!
Now..the Hollywood stars and music icons are still wearing this classic eyewear.
Mirrored aviators are chic and cool and very sexy, black Wayfarers are old school and understated..Choose either..just make sure you do…
