A couple of years ago I was convinced by a Napoleon Perdis sales assistant, to try their Boudoir Mist Spray foundation. It would apparently create a flawless complexion, even my skin tone and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Kim Kardashian flawless ?
An Instagram filter in real time? Yes Please!
At $69 for a small thin aerosol can I was hesitant, but decided to give it shot. Once at home I sprayed a fine spray evenly over my face and I was impressed. It certainly did have that ‘airbrushed’ look to it. I liked the results, so I used it daily. The down side is that regular use meant that after only one week, I had finished the can. This could have turned into a very expensive obsession, so I decided to quit cold turkey and go back to using my regular liquid foundations that last way longer.
Then when travelling to the US, I came across the Sephora Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation. Once again an airbrush foundation with an ultrafine mist for flawless makeup results at home. I tried it in store. Loved it and bought a basket load of bottles..at only $29 USD it was way better value, and the results were on par with the Napoleon version.
Unfortunately this foundation is not available in any Sephora worldwide other than the States, (to my knowledge, trust me I’ve tried a lot of places to find it, but happy to be proven wrong!) which is frustrating, so make sure you put your order in when a friend is heading over to America. My poor friend happened to check in on FB whilst in Sephora in Honolulu and I frantically messaged her before she could leave, begging for bottles of that face lift filter in a can! She obliged!
I now use my regular foundations on a daily basis, and if I’m heading out somewhere special, or at night, I use the Spray Mist for an extra dollop of flawless.
